Our client is reclaiming multiple islands within one of the largest lagoons in Ari Atoll, located in close proximity to VIA. They hold a 50 year master tourism head lease, extendable to 99 years. The reclaimed islands are masterplanned for a single luxury resort of approximately 150 to 300 keys, requiring an estimated investment of US$120 million to US$160 million, with multiple reclaimed islands connected by overwater walkways. The EIA is currently in progress, and our client welcomes interest from developers or investors seeking outright acquisition of the lagoon, either prior to reclamation or after reclamation at our client’s cost.
